LGBT Ireland is a national organisation underpinned by localised knowledge and responses. Provides a non-judgemental, confidential support service, training and advocacy which aims to improve the lives of LGBT+ people across Ireland.
Provided by LGBT Ireland, this gender identity family support line is run by non-judgemental volunteers who themselves have a transgender or gender non-confirming family member.
OutWest is a voluntary social, support and advocacy group for LGBT+ people in the west of Ireland.
The group aims to organise social outings and events several times a year in various venues in the west of Ireland, as well as doing advocacy and awareness work, including educational sessions, to benefit the LGBT+ community, both in Connacht and on a national level.
BeLonG To is an LGBT youth organisation in Ireland which caters for young people aged between 14–23 years. Provides help with information, support, and youth groups where you can meet other LGBTI+ young people who have similar experiences to you.
TENI engages in activities that promote the equality and well-being of trans people in Ireland. They work nationally in four main areas: healthcare, employment, education and legislation. Their services include advocavy, education and support.
AMACH! LGBT Galway aims to reflect equally the diversity within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community by encouraging positive participation from the community. Actively advocates to achieve a solid and safe support structure for the LGBT+ community in Galway. Provides awareness, educational and training events and workshops, and endeavours to support and promote a socially inclusive society.
Through weekly social meetings, shOUT! aims to provide a fun and open space for young LGBT people to go to, where they can socialise with their peers in an open, accepting, and non-judgmental environment.
Mayo LGBT+ Equality is an LGBT group based in Castlebar, working to combat the isolation experienced by LGBT people in Co. Mayo and to help the LGBT community become more visible in ordinary everyday life. The group meet once a month to plan events, discuss various issues and to socialise.
Youth Group for LGBTI + young people and their allies (ages 12 -18). Where you can drop in have fun and share ideas with others.
Meetings take place on a bi-weekly basis from 6.00 – 8.00pm on Thursdays.
This group is for young people aged 13-17 years who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and their friends. The group is operated by Foroige, please contact Stephanie before attending meetings for the first time.
The group meets every second Friday from 6.00 – 7.30pm.
This club is open to LGBTI+ young people, their friends, and young people who may be questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. This is a safe place for young LGBTI+ people to be themselves and it is open to all young people who care about LGBTI+ issues.
The group meets every second Thursday from 4.00 – 6.15pm.
SWAG Mayo is a youth group for LGBT young people and their friends, based in Castlebar, where you can meet like-minded people, have fun and discuss issues that affect you.
ELLA is a group for providing support to lesbians and bisexual women. ELLA aspires to provide a network for LGBT women in Co. Roscommon and surrounding areas that offers mutual support and socialising.
Supports for parents of LGBT people. Meets on last Tuesday of the month in Vita House,
Roscommon at 8pm.
Roscommon LGBTI+ support groups are held in Athlone, Roscommon and Castlerea.
