Counselling for Families and Individuals Affected by Conflict and Violence

The Traveller Counselling Service is now offering free, confidential counselling, specifically for families and individuals that have been affected by conflict nationwide.

Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC), HSE

Provides short-term counselling (up to 8 sessions) with a professionally qualified and accredited counsellor. Service is available free of charge, for people aged 18 years and over, with a full medical card.

Covid Online/Phone Counselling Service, HSE

Providing a COVID19 telephone and video call counselling service. It will offer appropriate therapeutic intervention based on assessing the individual needs of the clients. The purpose of this specialised service is to mitigate the psychosocial and mental health effects on people by responding appropriately, flexibly and in a timely way to the phased needs of who is affected.

Eligible clients: Clients who have been affected either directly or indirectly by the recent pandemic of COVID19. Service available to all adults over 18 years.

This is not an emergency service. GPs/Primary Care Teams/TUSLA/Psychosocial Responders/Mental Health Teams can refer to this service.

Helplink Mental Health

Helplink Mental Health provides low-cost counselling (by appointment only) to support people who may be feeling unhappy, low, constantly worried, not sleeping, feeling stressed out and/or anxious, experiencing behaviour problems or anger issues, feeling sad, having difficulty dealing with a death, being bullied/cyber bullied, feeling confused, problems with eating, not feeling good about yourself and more.

Its counsellors are ready to help and are available online 7 days a week and out of hours!
