Homicide Support

Offers support to families bereaved by murder. It is a confidential service run by volunteers. They provide support nationally to anyone who has been bereaved in this very tragic way.

Garda Confidential Helpline

Allows the public to call with information relating to crime or other matters.

Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU)

Provide specialist care for women and men aged 14 years and over who have recently been sexually assaulted or raped. The specialist team provide easily accessible holistic services which address the medical, psychological and emotional needs and appropriate follow up care for victims of sexual crime, in a supportive and sensitive manner.

Adult Counselling Service, HSE

The Adult Counselling service provides free, confidential, individual and group therapy to adult survivors of childhood abuse. This includes sexual, emotional, physical abuse and neglect during childhood.

Galway

 

Cope – Domestic Violence Refuge & Support

Providing refuge accommodation, accessing any financial help available to you, availing of legal options and any medical needs you may have and court accompaniment. Outreach service worker is available to meet with women throughout Galway city and county and arrange safety planning if you are worried that you might need to leave quickly.

Galway Rape Crisis Centre

Provides a professional, caring and confidential counselling and support service for those in our community affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence. Also work towards ending cultural and societal tolerance of sexual violence through advocacy, awareness raising and educational programmes.

Esker House Women’s Refuge and Support Service, Athlone

Covers south Roscommon. Esker House Women’s Refuge and Domestic Abuse Support Service provides temporary safe accommodation for women and their children and support and information for women experiencing domestic abuse.
