Galway Sports Partnership is running a FREE walking and nature programme to engage people in forest activities to enhance their quality of life.
Entitled “Nature for Health!”, this is a 10-week programme designed to introduce participants to the incredible woodlands Galway’s Merlin Woods.
Woodlands walks are led by experienced and welcoming walk leaders and local environmental experts and will include elements of gentle exercise, healthy walks, talks on the environment, mindfulness and environmental art and relaxation.
All are welcome and encouraged to join.
Sessions will last for 2-hours each week and lunch is provided.

Spaces on the Nature for Health programme are limited. Before registering to participate, please read the following criteria to ensure eligibility.
Participants should be:
- Available to attend at least 8 out of the 10 weekly sessions
- Available to attend 2 hours (10 am – 12 pm ) Friday mornings in Merlin Woods
- Interested in nature / mental health & wellbeing / mindfulness / gentle exercise
