To mark the occasion of World Stroke Day on October 26, the Croí Health Team plans to host a Croí Connects in the Community – World Stroke Day event in Tuam, Co Galway.

The aim of the event is to help raise awareness and drive action on stroke prevention.

Croí’s Health Team (nurse, physio, dietician, health psychologist) will be in attendance and they will be happy to chat about risk factors, knowing your numbers, learning about the signs and symptoms of stroke and knowing when to act F.A.S.T.

There will also be free Heart Health Checks with Croí nurses on the day.

There will be a number of different stands on the day including, relaxation therapies, technology, education, exercise, CPR and much more.

The Croí Connects in the Community – World Stroke Day event takes places on Thursday, October 26^th from 2-5pm in The Family Centre, Dublin Road, Tuam, H54 AH75
