Lived Experience Representative Recruitment for National Suicide Research Foundation

By 5th October 2023No Comments

The National Suicide Research Foundation (NSRF) is looking for volunteers to get involved with its research.

The foundation is seeking adults with lived experience of suicide, self-harm or mental illness to help shape the studies it undertakes.

Successful applicants will become members of the NSRF’s LE panel.

Anyone with lived experience of suicide, self-harm or mental illness is invited to apply to this panel. If you are still unsure, please refer to the website or contact us.

You do not need to know anything about research to become a LE Representative.

Anyone who feels uncomfortable discussing suicide or self-harm related topics or feels this may be a trigger for them should carefully consider this before applying. It is also recommended that you discuss becoming an LE Representative with your current mental healthcare provider, if you have one.

If you are satisfied that you would like to proceed you can make your application by clicking this LINK which will bring you to the official application form.

This form will be used to gather some basic contact details for our records and some additional information on your experience and/or background.

If you do not feel comfortable with some of the questions on this form, you are under no obligation to answer. Please only give details that you feel comfortable sharing.

This information provided will not be shared beyond the senior management of the NSRF and the LE advisory panel.

For more information please click HERE or contact the PPIE Advisory Group members either by emailing [email protected] or calling (087)3481760. Please note, telephone is not monitored 24/7.
