A new Dragon Boat Club has been established in Ballina, Co Mayo and will host a community open day on Sunday, October 1 next at the Kennedy Glasgow Centre at The Quay in Ballina, Co Mayo from 12pm to 4pm. 
This volunteer-led, non-profit club is follows am inclusive “Meitheall Abhainn” (River Community) ethos with the aim of supporting the community in general, people impacted by cancer and those who have been impacted by the recent pandemic at every level.
The club aims to cultivate a legacy of kindness, understanding and connectedness using the medium of Dragon Boating.
The open day on October 1 next, will afford an opportunity for members of the public to view the club’s fantastic dragon boat; try out a dragon boat paddle; and meet the club members while enjoying some tasty refreshments,
