The Roscommon community support initiative, The Melting Pot, has some lovely activities and initiatives lined up for the coming weeks.
Based in Castle Court on Castle Street in Roscommon, the Melting Pot provides support to people who are marginalised and experiencing social exclusion within the community.
It offers service users an opportunity to volunteer, access work experience or a respectful place to relax within the Melting Pot café, charity shop and community space.
This Monday, September 18, The Melting Pot, in conjunction with See Change, will host a mental health-themed Green Ribbon Tea Morning from 11am to 1,30pm.
Its Woodlands For Health Walking programme continues, in conjunction with Roscommon Sports Partnership every Thursday morning at 11am until November 30. For more information contact Ger on 089 4165730.
On Tuesday, September 26 next The Melting Pot will collaborate with Inland Fisheries Ireland to host a morning of fishing on Donamon on the Suck Valley Way at 11.30am. Booking is essential. To find out more call Ger on 089 4165730.
A ten week programme of computer classes will get underway at The Melting Pot on October 10 next. These classes will run every Tuesday from 12pm to 2pm. For further information contact Ger on 089 4165730.
