World Patient Safety Day takes place on Sunday, September 17 next and this year’s theme is: “Elevate the patient voice and safety through health literacy”.
Established in 2019, World Patient Safety Day aims to raise global awareness about patient safety and call for solidarity and united action by all countries and international partners to reduce patient harm.
Patient safety focuses on preventing and reducing risks, errors and harm that happen to patients during the provision of health care.
Locally, one of the events planned to mark this international awareness day will take place in Roscommon. A Mental Health Services Information Event will be hosted in the front lobby of Roscommon Primary Care Centre on Wednesday, 13th September 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm.
Admission is free of charge and all are welcome.

- What do I need to do next?
- What can I expect? How will this help me?
