HUGG provides a free, non-judgemental, and safe space where people bereaved by suicide can share their experiences and feelings and receive and offer support to each other.
HUGG Galway takes place every second Tuesday 7.30pm to 9.30pm. HUGG Galway is now a hybrid group which means you can attend this meeting in-person or over zoom.
The group is facilitated by trained volunteers with lived experience of suicide bereavement.
Bereavement by suicide shares characteristics with other bereavements but it is also different. Having lived experience of suicide bereavement, a requirement for becoming a HUGG group facilitator, ensures a better understanding and appreciation of the emotions and trauma group members may be going through.
To join HUGG Galway simply complete an online form at www.hugg.ie/join-a-group/ or call 01 513 4048.
Whatever way you get in touch everyone receives a call back by a member of the HUGG Team.
