As part of 2023 Men’s Health Week, Croi Heart and Stroke Charity organised two great initiatives in Co Mayo that saw them facilitate free blood pressure checks for men at Homeland stores in Swinford and Ballinrobe on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13 and 14 last.

Men’s Health Week is celebrated in many European countries, as well as in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and several other places worldwide.
The overall aims of the week are to:
- Heighten awareness of preventable health problems for males of all ages.
- Support men and boys to engage in healthier lifestyle choices / activities.
- Encourage the early detection and treatment of health difficulties in males.
International Men’s Health Week (MHW) always begins on the Monday before Father’s Day and ends on Father’s Day itself.
The 2023 campaign began last Monday, June 12 and will run until Sunday, June 18.
