Mayo Baby Week brings great parent and baby event to Ballyhaunis

By 8th June 2023No Comments

The Active & Healthy Early Years Sub Group of Mayo CYPSC, in partnership with the Mayo Infant Mental Health Forum, will mark Infant Mental Health Awareness Week  next week with the hosting of Mayo Baby Week.

The theme of Mayo Baby Week 2023 is “Early Relationships Really Matter” and a wonderful programme of events has been coordinated around this theme and will run from Monday, June 12 to Thursday, June 15.

The events include a beautiful Drama and Rhythm Workshop for parents and little ones that will be staged in Ballyhaunis Community Hall on Thursday, June 15 next from 11am until 12 noon.

Silver Tree is a gentle first time theatre experience for babies aged 0-9 months and their adult carers. Inspired by the legend of the Ursitoarea fairy in Romania, Silver Tree poses the question “what would you choose as a gift for your life’s journey?”

WAAW is an abstract story incorporating sound, rhythm and movement, woven and knitted in the moment in search of beauty.

Joeri Wens builds a musical, rhythmic world while playing. A marble, water, sand, balloons and some strange instruments to follow an unpredictable course.  The reality is magical and magic is real. The children are part of the concert.

Booking is essential for this event. You can reserve your place via this LINK.
