West Be Well is delighted to play its part in promoting the 2022 Green Ribbon Campaign in Ireland.

A member of our committee, Siobhan McBrearty, will participate in an interview about the Green Ribbon Ireland campaign on the Tommy Marren Show on Midwest Radio tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 7 between 9am and 11am.

West Be Well was established in September 2020 with three key aims:

  • Promoting timely, safe, evidence-based mental health messages, including national mental health campaigns, at local level in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon;
  • Promoting mental health supports and services by HSE or other state funded services working in the area of mental health and suicide prevention;
  • Promoting mental health and suicide prevention education and training programmes and events.

Siobhan Mc Brearty is one of three HSE Resource Officers for Suicide Prevention that are part of the West Be Well team and her role relates to Co Mayo specifically.

She will be joined on Midwest Radio’s Tommy Marren show tomorrow morning by Barbara Brennan who is the Coordinator of See Change – Ireland’s National Mental Health Stigma Reduction Partnership.

You can tune in to the interview on 96.1fm from 9am on.
