Survey of people with disabilities in Galway

By 5th April 2022No Comments

Galway County Council, in partnership with Galway County PPN and its Disability Forum, is inviting people with disabilities to take part in a survey to identify the primary issues and priorities for improving their participation in community life.

Article 30 of the UNCRPD (United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities) recognises the right of people with disabilities to participate on an equal basis with others in cultural, recreational, leisure and sporting activities.

The aim of this survey is to capture information on current activities as well as identifying areas which need attention and consideration through funding schemes such as the Disability Participation and Awareness Fund, which is funded through the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.

The survey can be accessed in English HERE and in Irish HERE and will remain open until Friday, April 22.

If you have any difficulties accessing the survey, please do not hesitate to contact Mary Mullen, PPN Resource Worker, on (087) 360 3379.
