Online support meeting for bereaved parents

By 9th January 2022No Comments

The bereavement support organisation, Anam Cara, will host its first online support and information evening of the year this week.

This event is taking place next Wednesday, 12 January at 7pm.

The guest speaker for the evening is Peter McCarton who will open the evening with a short talk on parental grief.

He will cover the different circumstances of death, whether expected or sudden and he will also talk about the impact a death of a son or daughter can have on grieving parents and surviving siblings, along with the complex issues grieving parents must face – indicating what is normal in the process.

After Peter’s talk, there will be an opportunity for parents to talk to Anam Cara facilitators and volunteer parents.

This event is suitable for all grieving parents particularly those who have been recently bereaved or have not received any bereavement support since the death of their son or daughter.

This is a parent-only event. To attend please reserve your place on this Eventbrite link
