Health and wellbeing programmes and resources for January

A wonderful selection of health and wellbeing programmes and resources is currently available to members of the public for the month of January.

These resources have been collated by the HSE Health Promotion and Improvement, Health and Wellbeing Division or Community Healthcare West.

Many of them are free and accessible online with the opportunity to engage in some or all of the sessions and watch back sessions that you may have missed.

January, 2022 online stress control programme.

Highlights include a FREE online stress control programme that teaches practical skills to deal with stress.

The six sessions are 90 minutes each and cover different topics. Participants are encouraged to watch all sessions, but can join at any stage for one or more sessions.

Minding Your Wellbeing is a FREE online mental health and wellbeing programme that is also available to members of the public this month.

It consists of a series of 5 video sessions of 20 minutes – click here or www.yourmentalhealth.ie

A short course on managing stress and anxiety has been developed by the Department of Occupational Therapy in Mental Health in St James’s Hospital.

It is also accessible online to members of the public this month.

The course is 40 minutes long and broken down into four parts:

Finally, HSE Health and Wellbeing have developed a FREE series of exercise videos that are available online.

This includes beginner’s videos for both Yoga and Pilates, (8 x 30 minute videos), Chair Yoga for Beginners (4 short videos from 7-11 minutes each) and Strength and Conditioning.
