New Irish resource for self-managing your health

New Irish resource for self-managing your health

The national HSE Self-management Support Coordinator team have developed a number of resources to support adults in the self-management of their long-term health conditions.

The Tips for Self-Managing your Health when living with a long-term health condition leaflet (above) was launched earlier this year and an Irish language version is also available.

This leaflet is designed to highlight 10 practical steps that people can take to live well with their long-term health condition.

This leaflet along with other self-management support resources, videos and information about Living Well, A Programme for Adults with Long-term Health Conditions (a 6 week self-management skills programme) can be found at

The latest round of the Living Well programme is now in operation locally via the Zoom platform.

This free online group programme delivered over six workshops (2.5 hrs x 6) by trained leaders, most of whom are also living with a long-term health condition.

Participants will develop self-management skills and confidence to live well with your health conditions.

The next programmes will commence on the following dates: Thursday, January 20; Monday, February 7; Tuesday, March 01 and Wednesday, March 9.
