November health and wellbeing resources

The HSE Health Promotion and Improvement’s Health and Wellbeing Division, in conjunction with Community Healthcare West, is running a comprehensive programme of health and wellbeing activities and resources for the month of November.

Programme highlights include the free online Stress Control programme.

Participants in this programme will learn practical skills to deal with stress over six 90-minute sessions – each addressing a different topic.

Also available this month is the Minding your Wellbeing programme – a series of five, free 20 minute mental health and wellbeing video sessions.

A short four-part course in managing stress and anxiety can also be accessed throughout November.

Developed by the Department of Occupations Therapy in Mental Health in St James’ Hospital the sessions include an introduction,  followed by a focus on feelings, thoughts, and behaviours.

HSE Health and Wellbeing has also developed a free series of exercise videos.

This includes beginners videos for both Yoga and Pilates, ( 8 x 30 minute videos on each) and Chair Yoga for Beginners ( 4 short videos from 7-11 minutes each).

These are available on the HSE Health and Wellbeing YouTube channel.
