Free webinar on pre and post-natal emotional wellbeing
HSE Senior Clinical Psychologists Dr Jeananne Garavan and Dr Clare Thynne will hose a free online webinar about pre and post-natal emotional wellbeing on Tuesday, September 14 next.
In regular times having a baby can be both a joyful and worrisome experience.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, expectant parents of newly born babies may feel all the more distressed and anxious at this uncertain time.
If you are expecting a baby or you have recently had a baby (0-12 months) you are invited to this online talk that will explore common anxieties and sources of stress associated with having a baby during Covid-19 as well as specific practical and psychological support strategies that can help you best manage and care for yourself and your new born.
The talk will also include tips on bonding with your new born as well as signposting the relevant support services available.
There will be lots of time for questions at the end.
This event is also open to grandparents and extended family members or friends that may be supporting someone who is expecting or has just had a baby.
The webinar will take place at 11.15am on Tuesday, September 14 next.
