UK suicide prevention summit takes place online

The UKs 2021 Suicide Prevention Summit will take place live on Saturday and Sunday September 11-12 and on an on-demand basis (recorded live sessions) thereafter until Sunday, October 10.

Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in the UK, and one of the world’s most pressing health challenges and frontline health workers are regarded as n essential piece in the continuum of care for suicidal people.

This free event is hosted by Mental Health Academy (MHA) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) for mental health professionals.

The summit aims to share global best-practice knowledge and skills on suicide prevention with attendees, thereby making a tangible reduction on suicide rates.

The summit will be delivered via 10 live webinar sessions on September 11 and 12 and will continue as an on-demand event (i.e. you can watch recorded versions of the live sessions) until Sunday October 10.

It will be addressed by a line-up of renowned practitioners, researchers, authors and educators on the theme of suicidology and suicide prevention.
