Raising awareness in Galway of the impacts of alcohol in communities

The Galway City Alcohol Forum will host two information sessions this week geared at raising awareness of how alcohol is affecting communities.

These short online information sessions will take place on Monday, June 14 from 6.30pm to 7.15pm and on Friday, June 18 from 11.30am to 12.15pm.

These sessions are targeted at community and voluntary groups/organisations in Galway City and community activists with a view to exploring ways to engage with communities to reduce alcohol-related harm.

Some of the topics covered include: alcohol marketing; drinking practices, alcohol laws and policies; support and treatment.

You can register to attend either session by emailing Eileen. Holland@hse.ie or telephone (091) 737251 between 9.30am and 1pm.
