New Skills 4 Life course helps young people progress career/education
The Castlebar office of the National Learning Network (NLN) is now accepting applications for a new course designed to give young people aged between 16 and 25 the skills and confidence to get and keep a job or the support they need to make a success of their education.
If you, or someone you know, left school early or you are unemployed and don’t know what to do with your life then the free Skills 4 Life course might be for you.
This new QQI Level 3 course is designed to work with the students on Wellness Recovery Action Planning as a tool to cope with stress anxiety etc.
Participants can choose from a variety of certified and non-certified modules including photoshop, video editing, gaming, career preparation, digital media, art design and visual art practice to name but a few.
Class sizes are kept to a minimum with just 10 accepted to NLN’s skills courses so that instructors can ensure that students that may have struggled in the past overcome all barriers and begin to move forward.
Applications are now being accepted for the course which will commence on June 8 next.
