Workshop on social prescribing and how it can boost wellbeing

Do you work with clients who are looking to make new connections and try new activities in the community to improve their health and wellbeing?

If so then you won’t want to miss the online workshop on social prescribing that will be hosted by Flourish at the Family Centre in Castlebar on Wednesday, May 19 next.

Social prescribing is a free, HSE service which helps to link you with community sources of support and social activities such as physical activity groups, reading clubs, self help programmes, community gardening and arts and creativity activities.

It’s a particularly relevant service now with so many people looking to reconnect having been socially isolated as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The online workshop being delivered on May 19 next by Flourish in Castlebar and its outreach service in Claremorris will explain social prescribing in detail and outline how Flourish can benefit your service with its 1:1 sessions and suite of Flourish programmes.

The workshop will be hosted on the Zoom platform from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Book your place by clicking here.
